It is very easy to follow a few steps and have your online presence created through some social networks like Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook. For most of the business units that are online, taking help from social media is just to have their “fan Pages” created, posting weekly or daily articles/blogs/business updates and later on replying with a soft tone to the comments that show or portray a negative feedback. However, if you want to expand your business portfolio, you really need to broaden your social media network to break the business competition online.

Increase your fan bans:

You can make your webpage more interactive if you want to enhance your fan base.  Some steps that maybe useful are:

 

Paying emphasis towards customer feedback:

Customers of today love to criticize over everything, be it products or services of any company or even if they are posting articles, blogs or even business report. It can even be more interactive if an online Q&A session is organized. If you offer a reward(in terms of a discount, a prize or cash reward) at the end of the session, it is a guarantee that you will gain a huge number of online respondents. Conceptual answers may provide some ideas which could work as a bonus for your enterprise.

Be who you are:

Business units hire ghost or unknown writers who can create a message on the company’s behalf but they lose that personal touch and the art of professionalism. Purpose of such messages is to create a relationship with the prospect market which would only be possible if the exact statistics are provided in terms of a meaningful message.

Post frequently:

Customers want their voice to be heard and companies that post their comments in reply to the feedback that their customers have providedare considered to be the most active companies online. If this business generating tool is used in the right way, it will make you gain a closer one on one connection with your respective clients.

Social Mention:

Do you want to know what your customers are saying about you? This tool can make things work for you. You can set alerts on various social networks like “Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or LinkedIn”, if you have an online existence on any of the networks, alerts will let you know where your business name was mentioned and what was said about your products or services.

Polls and Games:

The best way to track public opinion and make your social media more interactive is by conducting a poll based on a random sample. Creating an online poll and post it on Facebook, Twitter, or a blog.Most social polls pose provocative questions based on current events.  The likes of Facebook, Twitter and other online platforms are often lauded as an accessible, cheap and potentially significant way of communicating with customers and industry peers.

“Social media is the most comfortable way for people to get information,” says Schaechter, formerly of TechCrunch, a news website about tech startups. “[The polls] show up in their Twitter feeds or Facebook feeds, bridging the gap and making it simple.”
