Corporate Business Cards: This type of card reflects your position in the corporate world with company’s logo and information printed on it. Suppose if you are an employee of a big organization like Microsoft or IBM, you would have a card with the organization’s logo and information that would be printed in corporate color, than your name, designation and all other related stuff.
Personal Business Cards: The most common type of business card which reflect neither trade nor corporate identity but the personal identity. This type can have variety of designs and patterns. For example, if you are a freelancer you can have a custom card for your personal identity.

Content Elements of Business Cards
A business card can have every type of related information, but typical business cards have the following elements:
Company’s Name: A business card definitely have organization or business name, as it is a business card. Most of the well known companies use their logo rather than the company’s name as the name is already known by the people.
Company’s Logo: Company’s logo is the most important element of a business card, a business card without a company’s logo is like an organization without identity.
Individual Name: Your name is the thing which is not always used by the companies but this element has a great importance. Your name on the business card personalized the card and makes it a tool for direct contact.
Individual Designation or Job Title: With the name, your designation or your business title is necessary to be inserted in the business card. This element shows your association with the organization or your position in the industry.

Contact information: Contact information like your phone number and email address should be included in a card. Both could be your official or personal contact information.
Webpage: Website address would be crucial if you run your business through internet, but you can have website address even you physically operate your business.
Optional information: Additional information like list of your services or products can be included in your business card, but this information should be printed on the back side of the card or can be used with folded style of business card.
Designing and Printing Elements
After managing all the content stuff, final step is the designing and printing of business card. This step is very crucial in a sense that it brings your card to life and makes it distinctive and noticeable. The following elements need to be considered while designing the business card:
Orientation: Positioning of your content on a business card is called orientation. You first need to decide before designing that where you should place your company’s logo, your name and job title or your contact information etc. You may have your card in vertical format or in horizontal format, depending on your personal or corporate preferences.
